A day of Celebrations

Today was a pretty big day. Throughout my time in Hospital, my parents as well as myself, received messages from hundreds of people saying that they had heard about my situation and they were all praying for me and sending me their best wishes. Thankfully that all had a positive affect on my recovery and I was able to spend Christmas and New Years with my family, without being in the Hospital…. I can now confidently say that the worst is over, its a long way to recovery but its all uphill from here.

My parents decided to say thank you to everyone for their positivity by inviting them for a prayer. Today my family and I were celebrating life. Not only my life but everyone else’s life. We booked out a venue and asked our Guru to come and lead the prayers as well as speak to all of us about the meaning of life. I really thought this would be a great way to say thank you.

My parents constantly reminded me of the fact that if i was well and able to walk, or if my surgeries had gone well, it was purely because everyone had prayed so hard for me. Everyone kept praying for me throughout my surgeries. If they heard my condition had worsened, they would arrange for prayers to be done in my name.

Today, when i look at how far i’ve come, from not being able to walk from one end to another end of the room, i am aware that the power of Prayer and positivity has brought me this far. People whom i don’t even know were praying for me. Friends of my family near and far, all saying prayers for me to get well. We as a family, really wanted to say thank you to everyone and we thought that the best way to do that was to pray for them.

Thank you so much to everyone who was able to come for the prayers :) Those who didn’t make it, thank you too, for sending your positive vibes and prayers for my speedy recovery!

The importance of being an organ donor!

The fact that signing up to be an Organ donor you could save up to eight human beings from dying is a bigger positive than you can imagine. Saving a humans life is one of the things people can sometimes only imagine of doing. Through the act of Organ Donation, YOU can change this.

Organ Donation gives everyone the ability to save a life. In fact, your eyes could help someone you’ve never met see the world. Your organs could make someone on the edge of dying get their breath back. Organ Donation mostly takes place after a signed up Organ Donor has passed. There is an extremely large gap between the number of registered donors compared to those awaiting Organ Donation world wide.

The way I look at it is like this - when you were a child, you probably had the idea of one day wanting to be a Super-hero. Once you pass, you will no longer be needing those organs and they could be put to great use by saving another human beings life. When a person receives an Organ Transplant, not only do you become their hero, but you also become a hero to the many people involved in his/her life.
