Not so Clockenflap weekend

If you live in Hong Kong and you’re a teenager, the one place you should be this weekend is Clockenflap. Clockenflap is possibly one of the best if not the only outdoor concert weekends we have here. Different artists from around the world come to preform, but lets be honest… no one really goes for the music ;)

Its a little disappointing that I won’t be able to attend Clockenflap this year and I think the reason I’m more upset is because I also wasn’t able to attend Ultra Hong Kong. If you know me personally, you’d know that I’m possibly the biggest Martin Garrix fan there is… When I found out that he was coming to Hong Kong, I wrote him as well as his whole team a bunch of emails asking if I could meet him. Martin Garrix is the DJ I’ve really been wanting to see live and I was always waiting for him to come to Hong Kong. I got over the fact that I wasn’t able to see him live but I’ve set myself a goal to see him live at either Ultra Miami or Tomorrowland in the future.

Even though I won’t be with my friends at Clockenflap this weekend, I’m still going to be celebrating something. This weekend I’ve been given home leave for a couple of hours. This means that I can leave the hospital area and I can go do something I really enjoy. A haircut is at the top of my priority list. I haven’t had a haircut since the beginning of August and im starting to look more like an ape everyday, the beard and the long hair doesn’t suit me…

Hope everyone has a great Clocken weekend and stays safe!

The importance of being an organ donor!

The fact that signing up to be an Organ donor you could save up to eight human beings from dying is a bigger positive than you can imagine. Saving a humans life is one of the things people can sometimes only imagine of doing. Through the act of Organ Donation, YOU can change this.

Organ Donation gives everyone the ability to save a life. In fact, your eyes could help someone you’ve never met see the world. Your organs could make someone on the edge of dying get their breath back. Organ Donation mostly takes place after a signed up Organ Donor has passed. There is an extremely large gap between the number of registered donors compared to those awaiting Organ Donation world wide.

The way I look at it is like this - when you were a child, you probably had the idea of one day wanting to be a Super-hero. Once you pass, you will no longer be needing those organs and they could be put to great use by saving another human beings life. When a person receives an Organ Transplant, not only do you become their hero, but you also become a hero to the many people involved in his/her life.
