Back to School....

First of all, I would like to start by apologising to my readers. I lied. I said I was going to write every week and I didn’t stick to my promise. I want to give you guys a good reason as to why I haven’t writing but the truth is, I’ve just been lazy. I have been enjoying my summer and as you can see from the title of the blog post, YES I am back at school. I’m now in my final year of IB and that is quite hectic and stressful already, I knew this beforehand thats why I wanted to enjoy myself before getting into work mode.

Alright, so I have a solution for this problem, I will try and post as often as I can but I cannot promise content on a weekly basis due to heavy workload. I want to also take this opportunity to say that it is very hard to come up with ideas what to write about, so to make it easier if you guys have any suggestions or things that you want to know please do feel free to message me on any social media platform, ask me personally or even if you’re a little shy you can send it through the contact section of this page, you can put it down as “Anonymous”. Hope you guys enjoy the content of this article and I will try to post as often as I can. “willy try”

So let me get straight into it, I finished one week of school already! That’s a lot better than what I completed last year. To sum that story up, I lasted about an hour of year 13 last year and that was when all the medical problems started.

This first week of school has been super hectic but it has also been amazing. Never did I ever think that I would be that guy who was excited to come back to school, even my teachers are shocked that I’m excited. They’re all quite surprised because I used to be the guy that didn’t care at all about classes, deadlines or anything. I just came to school because it was routine and I got to see my friends (@mum and dad please don’t kill me for saying that).

Before starting school, I had some worries. Firstly, my friends had all graduated and I was scared about joining a new year group. Secondly, I would have to pick everything back up after a year of not being at school. Lastly, my teachers…. how could I even convince them to raise those UPG’s? (University Predicted Grades).

Honestly, after the first day of school, all those fears went away. It has only been a week and this year group has been so welcoming, and I am so appreciative for that because otherwise I would be sitting in the library by myself and studying, im glad people are involving me in certain things and making me feel welcome to this year group. The situation with studying, I am focused, very focused. This year group is an extremely smart group of students and because of that I feel motivated to better myself and study to improve my grades. Lastly the situation with the UPG’s, I am still scared about that but I am sure with time they will increase, funny story - I had my first math lesson on the first day of school, I walked into class, sat down and the first question I asked my teacher was “Could you please raise my UPG” - yes I AM THAT KID….. (If any of my teachers are reading this… PLEASE RAISE MY UPG!)

The importance of being an organ donor!

The fact that signing up to be an Organ donor you could save up to eight human beings from dying is a bigger positive than you can imagine. Saving a humans life is one of the things people can sometimes only imagine of doing. Through the act of Organ Donation, YOU can change this.

Organ Donation gives everyone the ability to save a life. In fact, your eyes could help someone you’ve never met see the world. Your organs could make someone on the edge of dying get their breath back. Organ Donation mostly takes place after a signed up Organ Donor has passed. There is an extremely large gap between the number of registered donors compared to those awaiting Organ Donation world wide.

The way I look at it is like this - when you were a child, you probably had the idea of one day wanting to be a Super-hero. Once you pass, you will no longer be needing those organs and they could be put to great use by saving another human beings life. When a person receives an Organ Transplant, not only do you become their hero, but you also become a hero to the many people involved in his/her life.
