1 Year Since My Last Blog Post
It has been 1 year since I last wrote a blog post. Why? Because I was trying to chase every single idea that would make me the one thing, that I have been wanting to be since being diagnosed with heart-failure; normal.
As selfish as it may sound, over the past year, I have been focusing on me. After coming out of hospital everything happened so quickly; recovery, going back to school, getting into uni. I felt the need to blog every single thing that I did- You know that saying about people who live behind their cameras at concerts, I felt like that was me, but I was living behind my computer screen writing articles to keep everyone up to date with everything going on. Because of this, I never really got a chance to just sit there and take it all in, appreciate experiences, be grateful for how far I have come, and in a way refuel for my next adventures - so that's really what I’ve been doing.
Throughout this “me” time, I have had the opportunity to do some really interesting things, all of which I can’t wait to share through my upcoming blog posts; Which by the way, I do want to say, I will be posting on a frequent basis, because I have been missing it so much! However, although I haven’t been blogging, I’ve still been invited to speak at a couple of events in the past couple of months, so those talks will be shared too.
I just wanted to take this opportunity once again to thank every single one of you for supporting me, praying for me and always sending me good vibes throughout my whole journey. I appreciate it so much and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you. I still have a long way to go and I hope that you can all continue to support me :)
Before I end this post, I want to leave you all with an interview that I recently did with my local Newspaper - Hope you guys enjoy it!
Thank you so much to SCMP Young Post for the article, video and the feature, and a special shoutout and big thank you to Rhea and Alejo for working on this :)
Stay tuned to the read the next part of my story :)
